Bouverie Place Shopping Centre Talent Show - 13th August 2011

On Saturday 13th August Bouverie Place Shopping Centre held its 3rd annual Talent Show in the main square.  Whilst the weather started a little wet for the competitors it soon brightened up with the sunshine breaking out in the afternoon and the day going very well.

Over 25 competitors performed for the four judges which included Louise Orphila - a local girl who has performed all over the country- and Charlie George - last years winner.  The other 2 judges are highly recognised in the music industry having worked with the likes of Liberty X and this years Eurovision entrants Blue.

The competition ran with 5 different categories including the Under 7's, 8/12's, 13/17's, Over 18's and the groups.  The group winners were then asked to perform again so that the overall winner could be chosen.

Under 7's - Lewis Pearman - Dancer

8/12 Yrs - Lexie Porter - Dancer

12/17 Yrs - Freddie Frantos - Rapper

18+ Yrs  - Paul Norris - Magician

Groups - Lauren and Anita - Singers

The overall winners were Lauren and Anita who won a recording session with the major studio laying down a professional track.

But our Talent Show is only as good as all our competitors and this year they were once again brilliant.  Dancers, singers from young and old entertained us throughout the day and made it as successful as it could be.
